Director of Operations
The Director of Operations will be responsible for all development-related activities for Vive Peru including promoting our volunteer programs and fundraising initiatives. The Director of Operations will also work to promote organization awareness for Vive Peru, including managing and developing the Social Media profiles, writing the newsletters, answering phone calls, and leading volunteer orientation sessions. Further, definitive tasks will be decided upon by the CEO and the hiree. We are looking for an individual who is driven, flexible, and eager to learn about the workings of a non-profit. Pay rate is $10/hr, working an average of 8 hours per week.

Teaching Fellowship
Fellowships are available in Preschool, Primary and Secondary school levels. Interns will work directly at an educational institution in Trujillo and be in charge of their own classroom. They will receive the support of Vive Peru for logistics in Trujillo for the duration of their internship.

Compensation
Fellows receive a $900 monthly stipend for living expenses for the duration of the internship. The intern is responsible for the cost of the plane ticket to and from Peru as well as room and board and expenses during the year-long fellowship. The organization will assist the intern in securing housing in Trujillo.
Fellows will also receive IB training throughout the year.
Recommended Skills/Qualifications
- Native English speaker
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in Education or TEFL certification required.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Social Studies, Science, Music, English or Art also accepted.
- Spanish language preferred but not required.
- Experience teaching preferred.
- Travel experience abroad preferred.

Executive Development Intern
The Executive Development Intern will work closely with participants of Vive Peru’s volunteer programs and will work to develop a long-term, sustainable initiative in the area of health or education. S/he will have the opportunity to work directly with the organization’s and community’s leaders to cultivate and execute his/her ideas. S/he will work in close contact with the Executive Director of Vive Peru as well to improve the program and the organization’s impact on partner communities.

Compensation

Administrative Intern
Interested in learning more about non-profits and non-profit management? Want to get hands on social media and development experience, while making a difference in communities in need in Northern Peru? We are seeking a spring semester intern to work directly with our Director of Operations. This is an unpaid position that requires a time commitment of 3-5 hours per week.

Phoenix, AZ or other. Remote position.
Responsibilities
- Creating a cohesive social media message and regularly updating social media sites.
- Editing and executing non-profit mailings.
- Developing materials for volunteers and campus coordinators across the country.
- Updating mailing lists.
Recommended Skills/Qualifications
- Possess excellent written and verbal skills.
- Familiar with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook).
- Has understanding of social media sites (Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Instagram, etc.).
- Has the ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Travel experience abroad preferred.

Under the supervision of the Executive Director, the volunteer would collaborate with with all the areas and volunteer programs to document the work Vive Peru is doing in Northern Peru, both with volunteers and the community. You would have freedom and creativity to develop new materials that would have a real impact on the growth and impact of the organization as well as learn in depth about the impact our programs have on the community!
We are especially looking for someone who is self-motivated and results-oriented since the volunteer would direct their own project and design their own schedule.

- Related studies or experience in marketing, public relations, journalism, communications, etc.
- Interest in the organization’s work and mission
- Self-motivated
- Ability to work under a deadline
