The Ministerio de Salud’s mission is to protect individual dignity, promote health, prevent illness and extend comprehensive healthcare access to all the inhabitants of the country. Vive Peru partners with many MINSA clinics and hospitals in Trujillo, Otuzco and Pacasmayo. We look forward to developing these relationships into long-term, sustainable projects and working with MINSA to continually improve healthcare for rural Peruvians.

ESSALUD is a Social Health Insurance Institute that aims to provide quality comprehensive care with quality, warmth and efficiency to policyholders in order to enable them to maintain their health and improve their welfare. Vive Peru partner with ESSALUD in two locations, sending volunteers to gain practical medical experience and serve in clinics. Ministerio de la Mujer y Poblaciones Vulnerables (MIMDES)

Programa Integral Nacional para el Bienestar Familiar, a program within the Ministerio de la Mujer y Poblaciones Vulnerables, is a lead institution in the implementation and development of social programs within the Social Protection Network. The Social Protection Network provides quality services that contribute to overcoming extreme poverty and social risk, strengthening capacities of children, adolescents and families. Vive Peru partners with two institutions in Trujillo, where our social work volunteers participate in a variety of enrichment activities with children. Ministerio de Educación (MINEDU)

The Ministry of Education, as the governing body of the educational sector, serves more than 6 million students in the public school system, has a staff of 320,000 active employees, and controls 44,000 public schools and 17,000 school programs. Vive Peru partners with public schools in multiple facets, one of which is providing volunteers to teach English during our summer sessions. We also partnered with I.E. "Miguel Grau" - Conache during Winter Session 2011 by installing internet in the school, and we are implementing English workshops at I.E. “Antonio Torres Araujo” and I.E. “Cesar Vallejo” in Trujillo. Kellogg Institute for International Studies at the University of Notre Dame

The Helen Kellogg Institute for International Studies promotes research excellence on critical global challenges, with a particular focus on democracy and human development. Building on a core interest in Latin America, the Kellogg Institute fosters research on the developing world and beyond. The Kellogg Institute has partnered with Vive Peru to sponsor an intern to attend Summer Session 2012. We look forward to extending this partnership in the future in order to further both of our missions and benefit those that we serve.
